The journey of Shail Education & welfare Society started with the establishing of Indore Institute of Science & Technology (IIST) in the year 2003, offering Under Graduate courses in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science and Electronics & Instrumentation. As the good reputation of the institution spread, there was demand to add more courses.
IIST added Industrial Production and Information Technology in its under graduate programmes. Due to quality of education offered by the institution, admission to all courses is always fully subscribed. To bring in research orientation to engineering programmes, post graduate courses in the branch of Mechanical and Electronics were added in the year 2010.
IIST also offers Masters in Business Administration to meet the growing requirements of management professionals. As large number of students are from semi-urban areas, the college has established a computerized Language Lab to upgrade students' English communication skills. For holistic development of students and to make them ready to face the corporate world, Personality Development sessions are held by specialists from the very first year
